Like so many other issues involving children and young adults, we shoot the blame/responsibility bullets everywhere but in the direction of most meaningful impact area....the parents and their parental responsibilities. Any involved parent has an unrivaled influence on the actions, attitudes, and, yes, the diet of their children. They need only exercise that authority and guidance on an ongoing basis.

Relying on government restrictions is just another band-aid that addresses symptoms rather than the true cause in most cases: bad, or disinterested parenting! Yes, it's the last place any politician or regulator wants to visit....a place where the voter/citizen is criticized.
